Atlantic PS15000 Big Bahama Pond Skimmer

Atlantic Skimmers house and protect your pump and plumbing while clearing surface debris from the pond. Atlantic s Pond Skimmers feature more size and filtration options and greater strength and versatility. This skimmer accept two pumps for increased flow, lower operating costs and multiple spillway options. Multiple filtration options including net, mats and brushes let you customize to fit every water garden. Reinforced structures eliminate warping, deformation and callbacks. Faceplate hardware is black anodized stainless steel for maximum concealment and longevity. The heavy-duty brush panel provides maximum surface area for mechanical filtration. The heavy-duty stainless steel framed trap net is ideal for catching large debris and the rolled upper rim provides clean lines and great strength. The Super Flow weir door maximizes skimming efficiency and the ribbed design enhances structural rigidity and strength. The PS15000 has a weir width of 14”, an internal water depth of 24.5”, a max pump flow of 15,000 GPH and matches to the BF3800. It has net and brush panel filtration and a lifetime (enclosure) warranty.

        • Excavating and Setting the Skimmer

          • The hole depth for the PS15000 should be 24 – 25
          • Prior to setting the skimmer you must first determine the surface level of the water in the pond.
          • Once the water level has been set you can excavate for the Skimmer. The excavation should be a few inches wider and longer than the Skimmer body.
          • Do not dig too deep. The skimmer should be set on undisturbed earth if possible.
          • In the case that you over-dig, be sure to compact the soil thoroughly to prevent settling.
          • The bottom of the hole should be level side-to-side and front-to-back

            • Plumbing the PS15000

              • The PS15000 Skimmer does not come with a pre-drilled pump outlet.
              • Not having a pre-drilled pump outlet gives the professional installer the flexibility to choose which side of the enclosure to exit and with what size pipe.
              • Drill-points have been provided on all models to show the proper location for drilling the outlet. Using the drill-points ensures that the pipe outlet will be above water level.
